Berry Dairy Delicious Smoothie

When you think of fruit and cauliflower together, we are pretty sure the first thing that comes to mind isn’t a smoothie. However, food blogger Catherine McCord shows us how combining both in a yummy, summer smoothie will help you get the protein, calcium and vitamins you need.

Here’s why this smoothie is a blast of yummy goodness. Strawberries are packed with vitamins, fiber and high levels of antioxidants known as polyphenols. This makes them a sodium-free, fat-free, cholesterol-free and low-calorie food. Cauliflower is a nutrient-rich food that is high and fiber and antioxidants.

We all know that milk has nine essential nutrients including, calcium, protein, potassium, phosphorus, vitamin D, vitamin B12, vitamin A, B2 and niacin. Not only does honey contain powerful nutrients, it also helps lower blood pressure. Lastly, yogurt helps strengthen the immune system.

With all of this packed into one cup, it’s hard not to enjoy for breakfast, a snack or even as a meal replacement! Check out this recipe and others like it at dairygood.org.
